Embrace Your Messy Brilliance in 30 Days

How is the course structured?

Every day over the next month, you’ll get an email reminding you to log in to your course portal, where you’ll be given the exercise for the day. Each day includes a question to consider, a principle to learn and integrate, an action to take in your life, and a space to journal about what you got out of it. This journaling space is totally private, so you’re the only one who’ll see it. Just remember to hit “save” if you want to keep what you’re journaling before you move on to the next day.

How much time should I spend on the course each day?

Each day is going to be totally different. Some days will ask that you spend a few minutes journaling; other days will ask you to try on a totally new mindset and carry it into your entire life. Of course, give yourself a break; if you don’t feel like journaling or if you miss an activity, that’s okay. You can always come back to it. Remember to push your edges whenever you’re motivated.

What if I miss a day, or two, or three, or…?

You can do this course at your own pace, but it’s important to try sticking to a 30-day schedule to the best of your ability, so you’ll really get to experience the full benefits. However, try not to skip ahead or do the days out of order, as the exercises you will be doing all build on each other.

Do I need any specific materials before I start?

Nope, just an open mind and the willingness to let yourself move outside your comfort zone! We also recommend Kelly’s new book, Your Messy Brilliance: 7 Tools for the Perfectly Imperfect Woman, which will complement your understanding of the tools in this course.

What if I have technical issues and need help?

We are here for you! If you have any questions or need additional support, email us at info@womenforone.com. We will get back to you within 24 hours.

If I want to talk about my experiences with this course more deeply, do I have access to Kelly and Women For One staff?

Unfortunately, limited staff time means that we might not have the capacity for a deeper conversation. However, we read and respond to all messages we get, so email us at info@womenforone.com with your shares. We’d love to read them!

Is this course just for women?

Not at all! While the vast majority of our network is made up of women, we are entirely welcoming to all people with powerful stories to share.

Do you have a community I can connect with for support as I’m taking the course?

We designed this to be an individual course rather than a group experience. If you are interested in joining Women For One’s global community, follow us on social media and consider becoming a truthteller on our website.

Is this course going to help me change myself?

We are calling this course an “anti-cleanse” for a huge reason: It’s not about changing yourself or getting rid of the stuff you don’t like. It’s about diving into your so-called flaws, accepting the reality of your life, and gaining new perspective so that you can use them as fuel to move you forward. We live in a world where almost everything around us sends the message that we aren’t good enough. I want you to come out of this experience with an acceptance of who you are—and that means all parts of you.

Truthteller: A Course for Boldly Claiming Your Story

But I’m not a writer…

Truthteller isn’t a traditional writing class, and while we’ll be offering tips on how to create a compelling story that people will want to sit down and read, it’s not about getting it “perfect.”
At its core, Truthteller is about helping you get real, which from our experience, is what people connect to the most. As long as you are willing to trust in the process and complete the exercises, you will be able to write. In fact, once you get going, you may be surprised at how much you have to say and how powerful your words can be.

How much time should I set aside each week for my writing?

Everyone is different, but as a guide, we recommend between 1–3 hours. The most important thing is to ensure that when you sit down to write, you are comfortable and in a time and space where you can be with your thoughts, free from interruptions.

Do I have to submit my piece for publication on the Wf1 website? I think I’d feel uncomfortable sharing my story for the whole world to read.

No, not if you don’t want to.  That said we’ve found that people enjoy seeing their work published and gain a lot personally from the comments they receive and the connections they make with readers around the world.  If the issue is really down to you not wanting your name and picture on the website, know that you do have the option of publishing anonymously or under a pseudonym.

This sounds like a course exclusively for women—can men join, too?

Absolutely! While the vast majority of our network is made up of women, we are entirely welcoming to men with powerful stories to share.

I’m not sure I’m ready to dive into my story…

Then you’re in the right place! For most people, acknowledging past wounds isn’t easy. It can be challenging and emotional, but it can also be incredibly cathartic and rewarding. We created Truthteller for all those people who know, deep down, they have a powerful story to tell but don’t know how to tell it—and simply need a gentle, guiding hand.

I’m in. What happens next?

As soon as your payment is processed (which can take a few minutes), you’ll receive an email in your inbox with a link to access the course homepage, where your fellow Truthtellers will be waiting to welcome you.

Do I have to participate in the Facebook group?

No, not if you don’t want to, though in the past we’ve found any Facebook group associated with Women For One to be an incredibly inspiring place to be.  The women who will gather together will be your tribe.  If you’ve been looking for connection, you’re sure to find it there.

Can I get a refund if I decide the program isn’t for me?

At this time, we are not offering refunds for this program. If you need further support, please contact us at truthteller@womenforone.com
